Retailer of the Year Announced

Lake Haven hosted the annual Retailer of the Year awards at a breakfast event on Wednesday 17th February. The awards acknowledged excellence across retail business management functions including customer service, marketing, store merchandising and sales performance.

Lake Haven Retail Marketing Manager, Katrina Cooke, said the Stray Kutz Lake Haven team had excelled in 2009. “Stray Kutz have showed innovation in marketing their locally owned business to our Lake Haven shoppers, resulting in business growth over the last 12 months. Congratulations to business owner, Thelma Mellor and the Stray Kutz Team.”

Emmah Bennett from Best & Less was recognised as the 2009 Team Member of the Year for her outstanding customer service. Nominated by Best & Less regional manager, David Langham, Emmah was praised for her dedication and commitment. Many Lake Haven shoppers commented on Emmah’s excellent customer service and have personally requested for her assistance in their shopping needs.

For the first time, nominations were open to Lake Haven shoppers, giving them the opportunity to recognise their favourite retailers for their customer service. More than 1500 shopper nominations were received, with Lake Haven Newsagency taking out the prize.
